How it works

One score. Every spot. Every day.

Blue Verdict turns complex forecasts into a simple score for each spot, helping you decide quickly where it's worth going.

Instead of analyzing several technical data points separately, you pick your sport, check the spot's score, and understand in seconds whether conditions are good for your discipline.

The score: 0 to 100

Each spot gets a daily score from 0/100 to 100/100. The higher the score, the better the forecast conditions for the sport you selected.

85–100 Excellent Go. Conditions are very favorable.
70–84 Good Worth going. It may not be perfect, but it should be a good session.
50–69 Fair Worth considering. Conditions are acceptable, with some limitations.
20–49 Poor Think twice. The forecast isn't helping.
0–19 No conditions Better to wait for another day.

A score for each sport

Ideal conditions aren't the same for every sport.

A bad day for surf can be great for kite. A good day for windsurf may not be ideal for wing foil. That's why the score changes with the sport you select.

Right now, Blue Verdict rates spots for:

  • Surf
  • Kitesurf
  • Windsurf
  • Wing Foil
  • Sailing

Each sport has its own scoring logic, so the score makes sense for how that sport is actually practiced.

Why use the score?

The idea is to shorten the time between opening the forecast and making a decision. You don't need to compare multiple screens, read maps, or cross-reference data by hand. The score sums up the day and helps answer the main question:

is it worth going or not?

Frequently asked questions

Does the forecast change during the day?

Yes. Forecasts can be updated when new model runs become available.

So the score may change throughout the day, especially when conditions are unstable or the forecast shifts.

Does the score replace local experience?

No. The score is a decision-support tool. It helps you compare spots and find good windows, but it doesn't replace local knowledge, reading the sea visually, safety rules, or personal experience.

Real conditions can vary due to local factors such as bathymetry, obstacles, currents, sandbanks, and rapid weather changes.
